Serial number does not work

This always means that you have not copied the number in correctly (unless of course you have the wrong serial for the game version you are using). If you have a game that requires you to send the "Game Code" to the author then please make sure that you "Cut and Paste" the game code into your email and when you get your serial number" cut and paste " it from the email and paste into the games validation box. Following the  above instructions will ensure the keys always work (and help the author retain a little sanity Ha Ha!!).

VBRuntime

This software requires the "VBruntime files to operate". Most machines will already have them but if not then they can be downloaded from http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/VBRun60sp5.exe

After downloading simply double click on the resulting "EXE" file and the program will insert the required files into their respective folders automatically.

Game runs slowly

These games require the full attention of your computer. If you have sufficient memory etc. and the game is not running correctly then you probably have other applications running in the background stealing memory. To check this try the "3 fingered salute" by pressing Ctrl,Alt and Del simultaneously, this will display anything else that is using memory. WARNING !! unless you know what you are doing please DO NOT end any processes unless you are certain they are not required. Another method, click start , goto run and type msconfig , hit enter and goto the tab marked services and this will also show you what is and what is not running.

Try installing more RAM  to cure the problem.

What is Shareware ?

Shareware is a method of software distribution and marketing, and not a type of program, it's try-before-you-buy software. Shareware, traditionally, is software that is published by authors who want you to help with their word-of-mouth advertising. It's more than a free trial, it's a free trial that you can share with your friends. When you find a product that does what you need, you might register the full version,  and nearly always find that if you need product support, you'll get a fast answer from the programmer who worked on the product. Shareware in most cases has some sort of restrictions of use prior to registration such as  restricted usages, certain functions not available etc. Once registered this shareware is transformed into  fully functional non restricted registered software and splash screens etc. are seen no more.

What is a Zip file ?

When you see a file that ends with the letters .ZIP, it is a compressed ZIP file. ZIP refers to the file extension, (for example: slot_egypt.ZIP).

A ZIP file is a convenient way of compressing program files into a single, smaller file. It is faster and easier to download the ZIP file version of a program. ZIP files are also called archives because they contain all the files you need for a particular program. All of these games are in the "Zip" format and have to be un-zipped prior to installation. An application called "Winzip" is one of the most popular programs for zipping and un-zipping files so to unzip one of these games you must have this program which is available from all good "Shareware" sites.

243 line games

Click on 'Select Ways' to select the amount of ways you wish to play, from 3 to 243.
As you click on 'Select Ways' you will see some symbols being hatched out, these
symbols will not count, for instance when the ways caption shows 3 you will see that
the only paying symbols are all of those on the first reel plus those on the centre of
all other reels, therefore you are playing 3 X 1=3 ways.
When the ways caption shows 9 you are playing all of reel 1 and 2 plus the centre of all
other reels therefore you are playing 3 X 3 X 1=9 ways, you can climb right up to 243 ways
i.e.. 3 X 3 X 3 X 3 X 3 = 243 ways. Clicking on 'Select Bet' will simply toggle your bet 1,2,5,10 or 20 .
The 'Total Bet' caption will give you the total amount you are wagering per spin.

About Aussie pokies and chances of winning !!

Australian slots are also known as …Pokies…poker machines…and of course …slots. The aim of the game on the pokies is to come up with a winning combination. There are various types of slots in an Australian casino (or Club) and the traditional spinning reels type of game is the most popular, Keno Machines are also present in the casinos. The main poker machine is the “Multiline “game where you get the opportunity to win on a number of lines simultaneously and the winning lines are illuminated for you. Multiplier slots give you the opportunity to vary the amount you bet on each of your chosen lines (or ways).

Most of the pokies are a combination of the “Multiline and the Multiplier “ which means you can play as many lines as you wish for as much or as little as you please. The operation of the pokies is simple, you insert your coins ($1 coins) these days, select the options you wish to play  then press the Start/Spin button. The slots come in varying denominations, from 1 cent usually up to $2 so in theory if you were playing a 1 cent machine by one line it would cost you 1 cent per spin. When you have finished playing, you can cash out (if you have any cash left!) and the machine will pay you out either in cash or vouchers. Most Australian Casinos and Clubs have some of the slots designated “Progressive Jackpots “ where the jackpot  increases with each play usually on a linked basis where there could be any number of other slots all contributing to the jackpot.
